Donna “Sue” Self, born April 29, 1947, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014 after losing a long battle with cancer. Sue was born in Springfield, MO and lived with her husband Don in Pleasant Hope, MO for the past 43 years. Sue had accepted Christ as her savior at an early age, she had been a long time member of the Glendale Baptist Church, in Springfield, MO.
Sue was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Nina Tindle of Springfield, MO. and a step-daughter Melissa Ann Cozad of Pleasant Hope, MO. She is survived by her husband, Don; one son, Michael Wayne Stokes, a step-son Tracy Dwayne Self and wife Gina; one grand- daughter, three grandsons, and one great grandson; one sister Shirley Ginger and husband Tom; two brothers Tim Tindle and Gary Tindle; seven nieces and six nephews.
She was supported through her fight for life by a mulitude of close friends and the people who knew her in Pleasant Hope and surrounding areas. Don and Sue were long time members of the Southwest Model, A Club in Springfield, MO and the Heartland Cruisers Car Club in Bolivar, MO She enjoyed her friends and activities of both clubs. These were some of her favorite times, taking a back seat to her family.
Sue was an employee of Glenstone Block Company for over 25 years, when she left, she was Credit Manager for the company.
Graveside services in Pleasant Hope Cemetery in Pleasant Hope, MO.
