BURNS, Phillip J. Phil beloved husband, father and grandfather went home to the Lord Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014. Survived by wife, Carolyn; son, Mark and wife Michelle; son, Joseph; daughter, Christine; grandchildren, Corey, Emily, Adam, Alicia; brother, Bobby and wife Shannon; sister-in-law, Peggy and husband Ray; and his nieces and nephews. Born Oct. 19, 1941 in Quincy, MA, attended St. Paul Catholic School, Lealman Jr. High School, and Northeast High School, 59. U.S. Army the 829th, St. Pete Junior College, graduate of U of F School of Banking, retired Sr. VP of SouthTrust Bank. Attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church for over 50 years and St. Josephs of Bryson City, NC. Member of Pinellas Park Rotary. Enjoyed traveling, his Harley, family and friends. Phil was a loving, generous person with a great sense of humor. Memorial Service Nov 2, 68 pm, Taylor Family Funeral Home, 5300 Park Blvd, Pinellas Park. Funeral Mass Nov. 3, 11 am, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 8001 46th St N, Pinellas Park. Interment Nov. 5, 1 pm, at Bay Pines National Cemetery. Donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Pinellas Park Rotary Club Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
