Roy Alfred Hale Jr., 73, died Oct. 29, 2014, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was born Jan. 11, 1941, in Miami, Okla., to Roy and Eva (Conrad) Hale.
He married Margaret Reed Oct. 1, 1976, in Hutchinson. She survives. Roy was a car salesman for over 33 years, retiring in 2008. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Shrine Club. Survivors include: his wife, Margaret; son, Kelly Hale (Shannon), all of Hutchinson; daughter, Colleen Thode (Troy) of Partridge; stepsons, Blake Welch (Lori), Brannon Welch (Tanya) of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Keegan Hale, Brookelyn Hale, Josh Dreiling, Jake Dreiling, Alisha Dreiling, Amber Dreiling; 12 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bob Borrowman of Hutchinson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his first wife, Sharon Borders; daughter, Shellie Hughes; grandson, Travis Dreiling; brother, Bill Hale; and a sister, Helen Borrowman.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday with the family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
