Greensburg – Frances Irene Montgomery, 80, died May 25, 2014 at Via Christi Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. She was born August 13, 1933 in Clifton Terrace, Illinois the daughter of George and Irene Phillips Sherman. She was a life-long home-maker.

On June 3, 1970 she married James William "Bill" Montgomery in Shelbyville, Missouri. Frances had lived in Hannibal, MO., Bowling Green, MO., Ford, KS, Dodge City, KS and Greensburg, KS.

She was preceded in death by three daughters, Sarah Hammond (last name spelled incorrectly in obit, should be Hammett), Marie Charlton and Corrina Charlton and three grandchildren, Corrina Charlton, Alan Resor, Jr. and Joseph Glen Resor.

Funeral services and celebration of Frances' life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Greensburg Mennonite Church, Greensburg, Kansas with Rev. Jeffrey D. Blackburn presiding. Graveside services will follow the service in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to the Frances Montgomery Memorial Fund, in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KS 67054
