Lawrenceburg - Mrs. Mary Hemphill, 83, widow of George E. Hemphill, died Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. A.G. Buckner.

She was a native of Kentucky and had lived here 10 years.

Also surviving are a son, Paul J. Hemphill, Birmingham; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Strunk, Copley, Ohio; two half sisters, Mrs. Minnie Allen, Glenmary, Tennessee and Mrs. Maude Newport, Birmingham; a half brother, Howard M. Lancaster, Chattanooga; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were to be held today at Ethridge Methodist Church.
