Jennie F. Damon was born Sept. 8th, 1847 in Montgomery County, New York and went to her Coronation in Belleville, Kansas, December 2, 1926.

When quite young her parents moved to Saratoga county where they lived until 1862 when they moved to Lincoln, Illinois.

She was married to Arvide O. Baldwin in Springfield, Illinois in 1868 and to this union three sons were born: Arthur A., Eugene O., and Harley D. Her husband departed this life in 1900.

She became a Christian when 15 years old and united with the Christian church but as her grandchildren grew up she went with them to the Methodist church which she attended faithfully until sickness prevented her regular attendance.

The family moved to Kansas in 1873 from Maple Rapids, Michigan, taking up a homestead in Dickinson county and moving to Belleville in 1884.

The funeral services were held from the Methodist church Saturday, December 4th, at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. A. Reese. Burial was made in the Belleville cemetery.
