Janet Faye , 68 of Somerset, died October 28, 2014 at Somerset Hospital. Born October 2, 1946, in Somerset, she is the daughter of the late Paul and Irene (Bittinger) Glass. Also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sharon Ann and a sister, Arlene Fitzgerald. Survived by her husband, Wilbur Shaffer and children; Wayne Shaffer and wife Carol of Listie, Sandra Weigle and husband Richard of Berlin and Susan Beck and husband David of Lancaster. Grandchildren; Aleaha and Alyssa Weigle, Ian, Brayden and Makeyla Beck , Michelle Morecroft and Hope Beam. Great grandchildren; Tyler and Bryan Morecroft and Kylie and Jordan Weigle. Sister of Glenn Glass of Olympia WA, Vernon Glass of James Creek and Nancy Gindlesperger of Berlin. Janet was a member of the Geiger Church of the Brethren, a graduate of Shanksville High School and a retired cafeteria employee at Somerset High School. Friends received from 2-4 & 6-8 Thursday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be held at 10 am Friday with the Reverends Linda and John Stoner officiating. Interment in Pike Cemetery, Brotherton.
