Broken Arrow - MAE BRANCH GILBERT, 79, of Broken Arrow, passed away Monday, March 27, 2006, in Tulsa.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Loco Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will be in Loco Cemetery under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Mae was born Oct. 28, 1926, in Comanche, to Albert and Hazel Durbin Branch. She married Charles Gilbert II in Santa Ana, Calif. Mae graduated from Comanche High School in 1944 and was a member of Loco Baptist Church. She was also active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Women of the Moose. Mae was a dedicated homemaker, wife and mother.
Survivors include her husband, Charles of the home; six children, Kelly Simpson of Duncan, Pattie Johnston and husband Joe of Coweta, Joe Gilbert and wife Kerry of Broken Arrow, Ralph Gilbert and wife Carmen of Gillette, Wyo., Roger Gilbert and wife Kim of Lago Vista, Texas, and a daughter-in-law, Tammy Gilbert of New Mexico; a sister, Lou Spain of Kingston; a sister-in-law, Emma Branch of Mustang; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Charles Gilbert III.
