The son of Mark Kabik and Theresa M. Kabik of Washington, D.C. Siblings were Irving, Sylvia, and Fannie. He was killed somewhere in Germany while part of the 94th Division of the U.S. Army which was fighting a German Panzer tank division. He had been buried somewhere in Europe but his remains were brought back in August of 1948 for burial close to home. His burial was at the Northeast Congregational cemetery but today nobody knows where that is - either in D.C. or nearby Maryland.
