Leonora was born in Syracuse, NewYork. The daughter of Marie Miller Haberle Kavanaugh and William Haberle. She had one sister, Virginia Marie Haberle who married Burns Lyman Smith. Her father, William H. Haberle died in 1911. Leonora's mother married Col. George Washington Kavanaugh. Leonora married Charles Jolly Werner in 1916 and had two sons: Charles Jolly Warner of MA and William Whitesides Warner of Washington, DC. She lived most of her life in New York City.
