Almira E. Lockwood was born on March 10, 1823, in New York, the daughter of Mary (Lockwood) and Mr Dodge (according to her death certificate). She married Aaron ALDRICH and they had nine children together. Children: Anna (1835-1841), Susan C. (1840-1891), William H. (1842-1848), George William (1849-1917), Charles (1852-1854), Mary Elizabeth (1853-1913), Angelin M. (1855-1921), and Charles (1856-1858)

She then married William CRAIG and they had three children together, one whom they adopted. Jimmie (1863-1865), Mary (1864-?) [according to the the 1880 census she was an adopted orphan] and Fred J. (1865-1928)

She died on June 28, 1901, in Corunna, Michigan, having lived a long life of 78 years, and was buried in Shiawassee, Michigan.
