Catholic Sisters Dies at Convent

Requiem high mass for Sister Mary Appoline de Marie McCabe, 81, who died last night at the convent of the Little Sisters of the Poor, will be said at 9:30 a.m. at the convent tomorrow. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Sister Mary had been ill three weeks. Born and reared in Ireland, she had spent more than fifty years in America where she had been active in work of the Little Sisters of the Poor. She had been at the local convent, the Home for the Aged, since 1931. She attended the door at the home here, and had made many friends in Nashville. Prior to coming here, she had been a Superior in the home at St. Louis. She was active until stricken with the illness that brought her death. Two nephews, Thomas McCabe of Dayton, O., and Joseph McCabe, of Xenia, O., survive.
