Army Spc. Daryl A. Davis, 20, of Orlando, Fla.; assigned to the 144th Transportation Company, Florida Army National Guard, Marianna, Fla.; killed Nov. 29 when his Humvee was involved in a traffic accident in Iraq. He graduated high school in 2002 and his first job was at the YMCA as a basketball coach. Friends and Family called him Darly Dogg or Double D. He is survived by his father, Richard Rosado, brothers, Rico, and Alex, grandmother, Lillian Rosado of Puerto Rico, and his mother, Dana Davis. He was the 18th Iowan to die in Iraq or Afghanistan. He was buried with full military honors. He died when the vehicle he was riding in crashed near Kut at age 20.
