Memorial services for Grace Lynn Collier, 46 of Huntington will be held Monday December 28, 2009 at 11:00am in the Huntingtin First Baptist Church with Brother Darryl Smith officating. Crematiin arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mrs. Collier was born October 17, 1963 in El Paso, Texas to Wera Elizabeth ( Heigermiester) and Homer AAllen Scott and died Friday December 25, 2008 in a local hospital.
A former resident of Athens, Mrs. Collier had resided in Huntington for the last 13 years. While in Athens she worked as a sales associate for Wal-Mart, but was most proud of her responsibilities working in the church nursery of Huntington First Baptist Church where she was also a member. Mrs. Collier was always willing to help this in need and in that spirit her corneas were donated to the Eye Bank.
Survivors include her husband, Mickal Terrance Collier of Huntington, son, Ethan Mickal Collier of Huntington, father, Amos Lucas of Athens, sisters and brothers-in-law, Georgia A. Lee-Belen of New Mexico, Linda and Hollowell of Winnsboro, and Martha and Andy Choat of Waco; brother, Kenny Murphy of Golden City, Missouri; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Mary Madden
& a Host of other relatives
Mrs. Collier was preceded in death by her father Homer Scott in 1965; mother Wera Scott in 1967 and grandfather/adopted father Archie Allen in 1976, grandmother/adopted mother, Aldena Levoice Scott in 2005; and nephew David Hollowell in 2003 and Sxotty Burney in 2004
