Marvel Larraine Adamson McMullen was born October 22, 1916, at Nelson, Nebraska to Glenn and Alta (Doane) Adamson and passed away January 25, 2005 at Denver, Colorado. Memorial services were held January 29, 2005 at St. James Presbyterian Church in Littleton, CO.

Marvel grew up in Nelson and graduated from Nelson High School in 1934. She taught at Blaine Center in the Nuckolls County Country Schoolhouse system from 1934-1937. She attended college in Hastings in 1937-1938 and spent one semester at University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. In 1939 she moved to Washington, D.C. where she remained and worked through WWII. She later moved to Denver, CO and worked as a secretary finally retiring from the Colorado Department of Revenue in 1980.

The Adamson children were all musically talented and Marvel used her talents on the piano to play for several Episcopal Churches as well as her Eastern Star groups. She was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star and other Masonic orders for 40 years. She was a volunteer at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital for 25 years.

She married Floyd A. McMullen, Sr. October 22, 1949 at Raton, New Mexico. He preceded her in death in 1986. Marvel was the last of the ten children of Glenn and Alta and was preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters. One son, Robert Glenn, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Jeanne (Henry) Henschen, and two sons, John (Bonnie) McMullen, and Floyd Jr. McCullen (Joan) all of Denver, CO, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and 21 nieces and nephews.

Family attending the Memorial Services included Janet Forbes, Leslie and Elaine Adamson, from Aurora, CO (children of LaVerne Adamson), Marilyn Carlson from Lincoln, NE (daughter-in-law of Clifford Adamson), Tom and Diann Adamson from Glendale, CA (son of Glenn Jr. Adamson), Rhonda Hudgins, from Rochester, NY (daughter of Fay Adamson Hudgins Hollearin) and Teri and Norm Brown from Vernon, AZ (daughter of Peggy Adamson Van Buren).
