Mrs. Albert worked 29 years as a cafeteria manager in the Kansas City (Mo.) School District, the last 17 years as the cafeteria manager at the Board of Education building, retiring Sept. 5, 1980. She was a member of Cross Creek Baptist Church, Grain Valley. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Albert, in 1979, a son-in-law, Dr. Keith Broughton, in 2006, five brothers and three sisters.
Her survivors include her daughters, Betty Broughton of Blue Springs, Mo., and Ferne Albert of Grain Valley; grandson, Steve Broughton and wife, Marcy, and great-grandchildren, Jared and Whitney Broughton, all of Grain Valley; five sisters; and one brother.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel, Kansas City, (816) 353-1218. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Kansas City. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel.
