DEATH CALLS W. J. TUCKER
William J. Tucker, 83, prominent citizen and resident here for over 30 years, died Wednesday afternoon in Deaconess hospital Spokane, where he was taken early the week before. The body is at Cassedy's here. The funeral is announced to be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home. Interment will be in Pine Grove cemetery with rites of the Masonic order.
Mr. Tucker is survived by his widow, one son, L.E. Tucker here; three daughters, Miss Mertie Tucker, here; Mrs. Fred Cole, Brookings, S.D., and Mrs. G.W. Spoerry, Lincoln, Neb., and several grandchildren.
Formerly a painter and farmer, he had lived in retirement for a number of years. He remained active to the last in Masonic Eastern Star and civic affairs and in looking after property interest on the prairie.
