Brian Charles Tredway passed away Feb. 12, 2011 after a courageous fight with Cancer. The 2nd of 3 sons of Bruce and Donna Tredway, Brian was born October 11, 1946 in Spokane, Washington. A Pan American Airways family, Brian grew-up at various assignments around the globe, Honolulu, Manila, Fairbanks, Seattle, Belmont Ca, Frankfurt and finally Miami.

Brian attended junior high and high school in Belmont where he participated in Pop Warner Football, High School Track and was first engaged in his love for motorcycles. When the family was transferred to Germany, Brian went to The American High School in Frankfurt from which he graduated in 1965. As they were guests in a foreign country, most of his classmates were American Military and as such, many lifelong friends were made at the school. Summers were spent traveling Europe with classmates, often tracking the Formula 1 and GT race car series at famous tracks such as Spa, Nurburgring and LeMans. Upon graduation, Brian took an apprenticeship at the Triumph Motorcycle factory in Coventry, England and spent a wonderful year making friends and learning to rebuild motorcycles. Subsequently, Brian joined the family in Miami as Bruce had ended his tour in Germany.

After 2 years at Miami-Dade junior college, Brian and brother Larry transferred to the University of Texas in El Paso where he majored in Geology. Upon graduation, Brian joined the Marines and attended Officers Candidate School, earning a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant and proceeded to flight school. After his flight training, Brian returned to public life and joined National Semiconductor as an operations manager in Silicon Valley.

In 1975 Brian's son Brian Christopher was born. In 1978, Brian was sent by National to Algeria to help build a semiconductor plant and train operators under contract to the Algerian government. While there he met his future wife, Mitra Parvazad. Mitra returned to the US with Brian and they were married in 1979. In the next 5 years, Brian and Mitra had two daughters.

Brian then spent the next 25 years managing the making micro circuits for National, Zilog, Intel, Texas Instruments and then, most recently in a change of venue, worked seven years for the Sunnyvale Water Company. Brian enjoyed the outdoors and competed in professional motorcycle races for a number of years, attaining the ranking of Expert in AMA Motocross. He also continued his love of flight with the ownership of various aircraft from tail dragger Cessna's to Experimental Biplanes which were his favorite. Brian was introduce to fly fishing and was quickly hooked.'' From that moment on, all vacations centered on fishing in some of the most famous streams in the Western United States.
