She was born to Lewis and Elizabeth (Jarrett) Windsor in Alexandria. In 1957, Ruth was a graduate of
Frankton High School and then later was a graduate of Ball State University. In 1992 she retired from Guide Division of General Motors and then later from Peyton-Wells Chrysler-Plymouth dealership. Most of all Ruthie enjoyed her family, friends, travel, books on tape, gardening and her 25 year every Friday night visit with two special friends. She was a member of the Alexandria Women's Service Club, the Christian Congregation Church, the Alexandria Small-town Garden Club, the Madison County Master Gardeners and the Alexandria Art Circle. All will remember her for her friendly nature and big, beautiful smile.

A Celebration and Home Going service for Ruthie will take place at 1 pm on Friday, October 31, 2014 in the Christian Congregation Church, 11015 North 300 East, Alexandria with Pastor Jerry Young officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Memorial Park.
