ATHENS — Joyce A. Browning, 70, of Athens, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Arcadia Nursing Home. Born Oct. 5, 1943, in Shade, she was the daughter of the late Floyd E. and Anna Sargent Williams.
She was a graduate of Shade High School. She worked as a nurses aide for 15 years and worked at T.S. Trim for 10 years. Joyce loved to dance, country and western music, and quilting.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean E. Browning; two brothers, Earl E. Williams and Fletcher M. Williams; and a sister, Eva Lewis.
