MRS. MARY WHARTON HART
Wife of John Hart, died at her home in Sankertown, near Cresson, on Wednesday night of a cerebral hemorrhage. She was born at Artemus, Bedford county, Sept. 8, 1870, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abram Johnson. She was twice married, first to Arthur Wharton, who died in 1902, and then in 1906 to John Hart. Surviving are her husband, one son and one daughter, one step-son and one step-daughter, Mrs. Raymond Lafferty, Charles Hart, William Hart of Cresson and Mrs. George Muir of Bolivar. One grandchild and four brothers, Abraham Johnson of Nebraska, John Johnson of Hollidaysburg, Scott Johnson of Rouring Spring and Luther Johnson of Woodbury also survive. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic church of Cresson. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning with requiem mass at 9 o'clock in the church. Interment will be made in St. Patrick's cemetery, Gallitzin.
