Geraldine ' Jerry' Farrar Scott Buck died September 3, 2003, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Pasco, Washington.
Geraldine was born on March 17, 1916, in Mounds, Oklahoma, to Earl Edward Scott and Verna Ann Owsley.
Geraldine met Norvin Buck at an Indian corn stomp dance. They were married May 24, 1934, in Claremore, Oklahoma. Together they raised two sons, Galen Norvin Buck and Gary Edward Buck.
Geraldine and Norvin moved to the Tacoma, Washington, area in 1943. They also spent time in Spokane, St. Helens, Astoria and then moved to Burbank in 1975, then to Kennewick in 1991.
Geraldine worked for J.C. Penney Company, Sears, and Francisco's Restaurant in Burbank.
Geraldine had many enjoyments such as riding horses, crochet and canning. Many of her family members have received her beautiful afghans and dollies, caps and mittens.
Geraldine is survived by her sons, Galen Norvin Buck and his wife Marilyn, Gary Edward Buck and his wife Ginny, both of Kennewick; sister, Helen N. Ceglar of Portland, Oregon; brother, Jack E. Scott of Palmdale California.
Geraldine also leaves behind her grandchildren, Cary Lee Buck, Timothy Rey Buck, Gale L. Buck, Teresa Corine Clark, Peter Morgan Buck, Morgan Edward Buck and Darrell Robert Buck. She also had numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband, Norvin, parents, and stepfather Harve J. Laughlin.
She dearly loved her family, and would do most anything for them. She had a very soft heart for all of them.
She will be dearly missed and remembered in all our hearts and minds forever.
There will be a memorial service for Geraldine on September 24, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union, Kennewick, WA.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to The Shriner's Hospital for Children, 911 West 5th, Spokane, WA 99210-2472.
