Jerry was born December 26, 1938 in Kemp, Oklahoma to Paul and Christine Novell Grindslade Elrod. He married Sharron Browning July 6, 1959 in Stinnett. He had been a Borger resident for 68 years. He worked for Phillips Petroleum in the shipping and receiving before retiring. He loved fishing, drag racing, sprint car racing and Golf.
Jerry is survived by his wife of Borger. Sons Todd and wife Karen Elrod of Fritch: Tony and wife Dona Elrod of Borger. Daughter Terrie Arnett and husband Kevin of Spring, TX. Brother Terry Elrod of Borger. Sisters Danna Rowe of Ardmore, OK and Bobbie Adams of Borger. Six grandchildren Marca Elrod of Borger, Jarred and wife Amanda Elrod of Borger, Houston Elrod of Austin, TX, Shelby Wright of Borger, Kaylea Arnett of Blacksburg, VA and Alyssa Arnett of Spring, TX. Seven great grandchildren Brayden, Evan, Colin, Cody, Natalie and Brynlee all of Borger and Laney of Austin.
