Juanita Joyce Buechel, 76, Mediapolis, formerly of West Burlington, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Prairie Ridge Care and Rehab in Mediapolis.
She was born June 6, 1924, at Denmark, the daughter of John and Bernice Newton Arnold. She married Alvis T. Buechel, Nov. 24, 1943, at Fort Madison. He preceded her in death Dec. 6, 1989.
She was a homemaker and Home Health Aid for over 10 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, West Burlington and was a volunteer at Birth Right. She also loved gardening, flowers and knitting.
She is survived by five sons, five daughters, and one sister, (names of living person deleted)
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
