Margaret (Mrs. Arthur) Simmons, 88, of Morton died Saturday, July 16, 1994, at Redwood Falls Hospital.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church, Morton, with burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Morton.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 8-10 a.m. Tuesday at Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls. There will be a parish prayer service 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur;
a brother and sister-in-law,
John and Mildred Laux of Sleepy Eye;
a sister-in-law, Esther Laux of Sleepy Eye;
and several nieces and nephews.
She was born Nov. 11, 1905 in Willow Lake Township, Redwood County, to Nicholas and Mary (Molter) Laux.
She graduated from Wabasso High School in 1925. She married Arthur Simmons on June 19, 1941 in Wabasso. They lived in Morton before moving to Chicago. They lived in Minneapolis before returning to Morton in 1967. She worked as a bookkeeper for Donaldson's Department Stores for many years. She retired in 1967.
She was a member of Senior Citizens in Morton and had served as a Girl Scout leader.
