A graveside service for Jonathon Chase Cook, age 24, will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery. Pastor Karl Doerner will officiate. He passed away September 27, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Jonathon was born on September 10, 1990 in Birmingham, AL; the son of Jon and Terry (Shunk) Cook. He graduated from Hope Christian School in 2009 where he was a member of the Golf Team and 4H. After graduation he enrolled in Central Alabama Community College where he attained four Associates Degrees in including welding and machine shop. Jonathon will be remembered by his kind heart, his love of motorcycles, and his passions for his work at Bud's Cabinets. He is preceded in death by his fraternal grandfather, Orin Cook, as well as his maternal grandparents, William and Virginia Shunk. He is survived by his parents, Jon and Terry Cook of Weogufka; brothers, Wes Campbell of Birmingham and Scott (Catherine) Campbell of Eufaula; fraternal grandmother, Geraldine Cook of Watervliet, MI; his girlfriend, Kristal Jones; niece, Ellison Campbell; several aunts and cousins. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, North Chapel. Pallbearers will be Braden Culpepper, Travis Mizzell, Micah Caldwell, Zach Miller, Ethan Turney, Louis "Bobo" Beatty and Josh Arnold. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Birmingham First Seventh Day Adventist Church Community Service.
