JAMES H. MASON DIED IN NORFOLK
Was Oldest Member Of Asbury Methodist Church
FUNERAL SERVICES HELD ON MONDAY AFTERNOON

James H. Mason died at the Norfolk General Hospital on Saturday, July 24th, at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 17 days. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Mason, and son of the late William and Elizabeth Mason, of this section.

Mr. Mason's remains were brought to Crisfield by the Hubbard & Lawson ambulance and reposed at the Lawson & Hubbard Funeral Home.

On Monday his body was taken to Asbury Methodist Church where he laid in state until 2:00 p.m., at which time the services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. J. T. Rowlenson, assisted by Dr. J. Yancey Fincher and Rev. Lawson.

Interment was beside his wife in the Asbury cemetery.

Pall bearers were members of the Asbury Church Bible Class.

Mr. Mason was one of the oldest members of Asbury Church and one of the landmarks of the Calvary section. The high esteem in which he was held by his many friends was displayed by the many beautiful floral tributes which banked his casket.

He is survived by six sons, James H., George M., Norman, William P., Paul, all of Norfolk, Va., and Carlton Mason, of Hampton, Va.

Five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a niece, Elizabeth Ward, of the Calvary section, also survive him.
