Rose Ida (Gertsch) Koller Huber passed into the waiting arms of Jesus on July 11, 2012 at the age of 98 at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home in Janesville.

She was born at home in Buena Vista, Illinois, on November 13, 1913, the second of four girls, to Wilhelm and Selma Gertsch.

Rose worked hard all of her life as the wife of a farmer-cheese maker, and, in her own right, as a house keeper, and short-order cook. Still, she had time for her first husband, Werner, who preceded her in death in 1969, and four children that she brought into the world and was so proud of: Robert (Barbara) Koller, William Koller (deceased), Richard (Judy) Koller, and Barbara (Jerry) Senn.

She later married Jacob Huber, who preceded her in death in 2003.

She leaves behind her remaining children, a sister, Betty Kundert, several nieces and nephews and 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren who loved her dearly.

A service to celebrate Rose's life was held at Shriner Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe with the service being conducted by Rose's son, Rev. Robert Koller.
