Passed away peacefully from Leukemia in her sleep on March 26, 2006 at the age of 73 in Stockton, CA, surrounded by her family and friends.
Born in Leon, Nicaragua on May 7, 1932, she immigrated to San Francisco as a teenager. She worked at Berkey Photo for 26 years.
A longtime resident of Daly City, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Loving devoted mother to Diana Loeffler, Carlos Macay, Tony Macay, Irene O'Hair (William), Jessica Maldonado, and beloved mother to the late George Macay. Caring grandmother to Michelle, Karina, Christina, Jorge, Monika, Christopher, Stephan, Andrea, Victor. Adoring great-grandmother to Devian, Giovanni, Jason, Jorge Jr., Daesja Annette. Daughter of the late Heberto Perez and Felipa Perez Rodriguez.
She is survived by her sisters, Violeta Satterfield of Georgia, Gladys Santy of San Francisco; her brother Oscar Perez of Georgia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her entire family and close dear friends.
The Visitation/Viewing is on Thursday, March 30, 2006, 4:00-9:00PM (Rosary at 7:00pm) at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave in Daly City, CA.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2006 at 9:30 AM at Duggan's. Funeral Mass will follow at Holy Angels Church 107 San Pedro Road, Colma, CA.
Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma, CA. Memorial Services will take place immediately following at 395 Ferndale Ave in South San Francisco. Family and friends are welcome.
