Marcella Giebler, 86, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000 at Hays Good Samaritan Center. She was born Feb. 22, 1914 in Munjor to Sebastian and Mary (Pfannenstiel) Leiker.

She married Robert M. Giebler on June 1, 1937 in Catherine. He died in April 1987.

She was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and Altar Society Christian Mothers of Hays.

Survivors include four sons, Kenneth J. of Hays, Wayne of Brookfield, Wis., Dennis of San Jose, Calif., Bobby of Las Vegas; three brothers, Ted, Severin, Alvin Leiker all of Hays; a sister, Lidwina Ruder of Hays; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Odilia Leiker, Rose Mary Urban, and two infant sisters, and two infant brothers.

Services will be at a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father David Metz officiating; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Hays. Hays Memorial Chapel... Memorials established with Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and Hays Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
