Cyrus C. Patterson, aged 72 years a retired Pennsylvania Railroad section foreman died at his home at 497 East Washington Street, Chambersburg at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from complications.
Mr. Patterson was born at Fort McCord, Franklin County, on February 16, 1861. He entered the employ of the railroad company in 1884 and worked continuously for 45 years after which he was retired. He then moved from Williamson to Chambersburg. On February 25, 1886, Mr. Patterson was united in marriage to Miss Mollie Keagy of Chambersburg.
Mr. Patterson was a member of the Zion Reformed Church, also the Order of Red Men, and the Friendship Fire Company.
Surviving are two sons, Ralph H. Patterson of Wayensboro and Norman E. Patterson, Trenton N.J., and the following brother and sisters; Mrs. Elmira Decker, Mrs. Jane Flock, and Joseph L. and L. Denton Patterson all of Chambersburg and John H. Patterson, Kieffers Store. Six grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held from the late home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. Dr. I. W. Hendricks. Interment will be made in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
The body may be viewed at the home Friday evening between the hours of 7 and 9 o; clock.
