Lucille was born December 9, 1936 in Ord, Nebraska to Grant & Esther (Backus) Marshall. She graduated from Ord High School and received her Associates Degree from Central Community College. Lucille married Eugene Southworth in December 1953; he preceded her in death in November 1980. She married James H. Roby on April 7, 1984 at Clay Center, NE. She worked at Mid Nebraska Individual Services, Hastings Regional Center in the kitchen, and was a homemaker.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Eugene Southworth; daughter, Becky Fetters; son, Bob Southworth; and eight brothers and sisters.
