Poet, Author. One of Sweden's most appreciated working-class poets. His debute was in 1945 with the collection of poems "Blindgångare." Two years later, 1947, he released "Sotfragment," considered epoch-making, as it was the first time the ordinary working-man was described in modern poetry. He also wrote prose and magazine columns. To honour his memory, a literature society - Stig Sjödin-Sällskapet - was founded in 1996.
