James “Jim” H. Sartain, 86, of Bartlett, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline Sartain. Mr. Sartain is survived by his wife Jane Sartain, children, Pamela Sartain Roark and Jay Sartain and his wife Jamie, grandson, Joshua Council, great-grandson, Jacob Council, and a sister, Myra Howe and her husband Bubba. Mr. Sartain served proudly in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He was a long time active Shriner, a founding member of Shelby Youth Sports, and attended Faith Baptist Church. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, October 28 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with the funeral starting at 1 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shiners Hospital for Children. Memphis Funeral Home And Memorial Gardens 3700 N.
