James W. Spicer 82 of Ravenna, passed away Wednesday July 26, 2017 at University Hospitals in Cleveland.  He was born July 20, 1935 in Ellamore, WVA to the late Walter and Pauline (Wamsley) Spicer.  Mr. Spicer has lived in Ravenna the past 25 years and was formerly of Akron, Texas and Florida.  He was a retired  machinist from  several different companies.  Survivors include his children Debbie Spicer and Rodney Spicer, his sister Diane Wilson, his nieces Amanda (Mike) Ondrejko, Heather (John) Sapp and nephew Terry (Jen) Lowther.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Wamsley.  Calling hours will be from 11:00 AM until time of the funeral services at 12 noon on Wednesday August 2,  2017 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Rev. Bill Snyder will officiate the services.  Burial  will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of James may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
