Ruby Humphrey Dake, 82, Tuscumbia, died Nov. 15, 1998, at Balanced Care, Dixon. She was born June 8, 1916, in Miller County, a daughter of Elza and Amanda Lawson Hunt. She was married Nov. 5, 1930, in Miller County, to Seldon Earl Humphrey, who died Nov. 24, 1958. She was a homemaker
and a member of Full Gospel Family Church, Dixon.
Survivors include: two sons, Jewell Humphrey, Brumley, and Donley Humphrey, Deepwater; one daughter, Mary Ann Rowden, Dixon; one brother, Oscar Hunt, Rocky Mount; one sister, Pauline Albertson, Eldon; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. One granddaughter preceded
her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Billy Reese will officiate. Burial will be in Tuscumbia Cemetery.
