Mrs. Maria Shriver, wife of Charles Shriver who has been an invalid for a long time, died last evening at her home, 310 North Third street of heart and lung troubles after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist church tomorrow (Tuesday) at 2:00 o'clock the funeral party leaving the home at 1:30 o'clock. Interment will be at Oakland cemetery.
Mrs. Shriver's maiden name was Shuster and she was married at Keosauqua in 1866 to Charles Shriver who survives her seven children were born to them of whom four, Mrs. Francis B. Lord, Lydia E. Shriver, Ben F. and John H. Shriver, are living and reside in this city Mr. and Mrs. Shriver came here in 1868 and at the time of her death she was aged 59 years, 10 months and 8 days. Mrs. Shriver was a devoted Christian woman and a kind wife and mother, and very patient in her sickness. She was a member of the Baptist church.
