Lee, Rev. Richard
Rev. Richard Lee, 83, of Flagstaff, Arizona, passed away on October 21, 2014 at his residence in Flagstaff. He was born on August 16, 1931 in Menifee County, Kentucky, to Emma Jane Lawson and James Corbit Lee, and moved to Arizona in 1966. Richard was a corporal serving his country proudly in the US Army, and was honorably discharged in 1951. He then became ordained in the UPCI on April 24, 1974, serving as pastor of Camp Verde UPCI 1972-1980, Flagstaff UPCI 1980 until his retirement in 1981. Rev. Lee was instrumental in helping with the building of several churches in Northern Arizona. He also served as a sectional home missions director, UPCI, at the time of his death. Richard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce Lee; his sister, Wilma Ratliff of Wellington, KY; his brother, Ronald Kenneth Lee (Sally) of Stanford, KY; and also several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emma & James; 2 sisters and also 5 brothers. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25 at 10:00am at Christ Temple Church, located at 19444 N. 35th Ave in Glendale, with a service to follow at 11:00am with Rev. Gary Hogan officiating.
