James Lewis Pemberton, age 74, of Newton Falls passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday October 24, 2014, at St. Joseph's Eastland Hospital in Warren.

He was born on April 5, 1940 in Portsmouth, OH the son of the late Clarence Edward Pemberton and Merle (Horn) Pemberton.

James married the love of his life , Gail P. Hope on October 19, 1963 and they enjoyed 32 years of marriage together until she passed away on March 21, 1995. He has lived in Newton Twp. since 1976, formerly of Mineral Ridge.

James worked as a Shift Manager at the Tamarkin Company in Austintown for over 30 years retiring in 1999. He is a member of the Newton Falls Masonic Lodge #462 in which he was a 32nd degree Mason, York Rite, Scottish Rite, Rosicrucian Fellowship, and the Warren First Assembly of God. James enjoyed gardening, reading, woodworking, loved his animals especially his dogs and cats, cooking and most of all he loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Gail, and 1 daughter Katherine Collier.

James is survived by: 2 daughters: Jennifer & Roy Clonch of Newton Falls, Mary Pemberton of Newton Falls, 3 sons: James & Jackie Pemberton of Newton Falls, Michael & Jenifer Pemberton of North Jackson, Matthew & Anna Pemberton of Canton, OH, 2 brothers: Robert (Bob) Hartle of Columbus, OH, Ed & Becky Pemberton of Howard, OH, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Tuesday Oct. 28, 2014 from 6:00- 8:00 pm. Masonic Services will begin at 5:30pm.

Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday Oct. 29, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Derek Boivin officiating the service.

James will be laid to rest beside his wife Gail at the Lutheran Cemetery in Newton Falls.
