Kris Tina Starr Magnuson (Clark), 25, of Tomah passed away the morning of Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.

Kris Tina (Tina) was born Christina Starr Kopa (Frank Kopa) on Dec. 21, 1988, at Fort Belvoir, Alexandria, Va. She moved to Wisconsin at just one year of age, when Tina and her Mom lived with Grandma Judy and Papa Choppy. When Tina was 3 years old, she got a little sister, Brandy. Then at 6 years old she got a new Dad, Dale Magnuson, and two brothers, Eric and Kyle. They all resided in Winter. She attended school in Winter, where she participated in volleyball and basketball, and was on the Prom Court. Other things Tina loved to do was skiing, cooking and sharing recipes with her Mom, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.

At the age of 17 Tina became a mother. She gave birth to her daughter, Summer Nicole Block (Brady Block), and continued with her schooling and graduated with her class in 2007. After high school , Tina moved with Summer to Superior, where she attended WITC for one year. She decided to take a break from school, and worked at the Radisson Hotel in Duluth. During her employment, she was recognized as employee of the quarter and employee of the year. In 2010 Tina and Summer moved back to Winter, where she helped run the family business at Winter Northern Lights Motel and also helped with office work for her dad's construction business. In 2012 she was blessed with her son, Clayton Charles.

In 2013 Tina met her future husband, Cade Clark. She moved to Tomah and helped Cade with his auto business and also worked as a manager at Freedom Village Apartments. They married on Nov. 8, 2013. On June 26, 2014, baby Gregory was born.

Tina survives through her three children, Summer, age 7, Clayton, 2, and Gregory, 3 months; her parents, Tammy and Dale Magnuson of Winter; her siblings, Brandy Kopa, attending UW-Stout in Menomonie, Eric (Linda and son, Adrian) Magnuson of Winter, and Kyle (Soo-Youn) Magnuson of Los Angeles; her grandfather, Gerald (Choppy) Lenz of Glidden; her cousin and best friend in La Crosse, Kali; and her best friend in Winter, Becky Biks; the Frank Kopa family (Airianne, Frank Jr. and Juliette); and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tina's proudest accomplishment was being a mom to her three children. She was a loving mother and was devoted to raising her children. She was looking forward to starting a new job on Oct. 7 with the Tomah Veterans Administration.

Tina was preceded in death by her grandmother, Judith Lenz, Aunt Jayne Rezin and Aubrey and Marietta Magnuson.

A memorial service, with a social to follow, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Winter, with Pastors Brian Crocker and Terri Blomberg officiating.

A fund has been set up by Tina’s siblings at: http://www.gofundme.com/fkoibg. This fund is to provide a memorial service for Tina and to help provide care for her three children in Winter.
