Isaac R. Robinson Sr. 82, of Springfield was called home on October 25, 2014 at his residence.
He was born January 9, 1932 in Mississippi to Joe Henderson and Mary G. Robinson.
He married the late Hallie W. Johnson on January 5, 1955. She preceded him in death in 2008.
He married Carrie Mae Lindsey on February 27, 2010.
Mr. Robinson retired from Springfield School District 186 after 25 years. He loved reading his bible and watching wrestling. He was a devoted Christian and a member of Lawrence Avenue Church of Christ for 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Hallie, daughter Gloria Alexander and son Larry Robinson Sr.
He is survived by his devoted wife; Carrie. He will be loved and missed by his four daughters – Doris (Darrell) Davis of Minnesota, Kay Wilson, Ella Rucker and Diane (Michael Sr.) McCreary, all of Springfield; eight sons – Billie Paul of Kansas, Jerry (Diana), Isaac Jr., Curtis, Gary (Audrey), Alvin (LaDonna) all of Springfield, William Henry of Indiana, and Calvin (Sherry) of Minnesota. 51 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren; two sisters – Ruthie Acres and Gertrude Talbert of Michigan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be Saturday November 1, 2014
