Ruby Grubb Farley, the daughter of Millard Garfield and Dora (Poston) Grubb, was born October 20, 1926, in Blanchard, Iowa. She attended Hazel Grove country school, south of Blanchard and graduated from Tarkio High School, Tarkio, Missouri, in 1945.

On March 29, 1947, Ruby was united in marriage to Woodrow Wilson Farley at the United Methodist Church Parsonage in Tarkio. They made their home on the Tarkio College farm in Tarkio, then in 1961, purchased the Farley family farm outside of Elmo, Missouri, where Ruby lived to the present time. Woody passed away October 13, 2011.

Ruby enjoyed being a homemaker, caring and raising her children. She had a passion for needlework, crocheting and sewing. Ruby also enjoyed canning and gardening, but was never too busy to be a good neighbor. She was a member of the Elmo United Methodist Church, former member of the Tarkio United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Elmo Community Club. Ruby passed away Friday, October 24, 2014, at her home, at the age of 88.

Besides her parents and husband, Ruby was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Farley; brothers, Warren, Everett and Fairley Grubb; sister, Elva Hartman; and one infant sister. Survivors include son, Glenn Farley and wife, Sally, Elmo; daughters, Danee Neely and husband, Ron, Holly Springs, North Carolina, and Gail Pennebaker and husband, Tom, also of Elmo; four grandchildren, Melissa Grace, Jevon Farley, Faye Weissner and Jessica Walter; eight great-grandchildren, Ella Grace, Treyton, Lane and Jaycee Farley, Elvis Walter, Greta, Ellie and Bo Weissner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 27, 2014, Elmo United Methodist Church.
Interment: Blanchard Cemetery, Blanchard, Iowa.
