Mr. Courtney L. Wolfe, 80, of Wolfe Drive, Macy, passed away at 8:25 PM, Tuesday, October 21st, at Parkview Regional Hospital of Fort Wayne.

On March 3, 1934, Court was born in Peru to William Paul and Edna Marie Prather Wolfe. Growing up he shared his childhood with three sisters and three brothers. In 1951 he graduated from Peru High School. Most of his life was spent in the Fulton and Miami County communities.

Court and Marjorie A. Wallace were married January 18, 1963 in Mexico. They shared 46 wonderful years together until she passed away on April 29, 2009.

Trains, planes, boats or busses! No matter the mode of transportation, Court was always on the move. For 43 years he worked for the railroad. As a young man he started as a dispatcher with the Wabash Railroad and went on to transition with the Norfolk Western and later the Norfolk Southern, ending his career as an agent at the General Motors Plant in Fort Wayne. Piloting his 77 Fox Trot Arrow 4 seater plane was always an adventure. As an avid fisherman he enjoyed the beautiful waters of the St. Lawrence Seaway and the UP. Court was also a part time bus driver for the Caston School System, often taking the sports teams to their games or just filling in on a route.

Court was a 32nd Degree Mason. He served 15 years with the Peru National Guard. His other memberships include the Nyona Lake Association, Indiana Live Steamers and the First Baptist Church of Rochester.

As a train enthusiast, Court, assisted by his son, Jim, built a train track around his Nyona Lake wooded property. The train could handle up to 20 passengers and often they were the pride and joy of his life, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He cherished the time spent with his family and was proud and thankful for each branch that was added to the family tree.

Court is lovingly remembered by four daughters: Patti Newgent and husband Craig of Ft. Wayne, Darlene Harris and husband Richard of Wabash, Becky Mast and husband Jeff of Spicherville, Janet Border of Wabash; a son: Jim Wolfe and wife Geneva of Medaryville; 22 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; two sisters: Patsy Plaue and husband Walt of Ashville, NC, Sharon Staller and husband Jerry of Auburn; three brothers: William Paul “Bill” Wolfe of Peru, Reggie Wolfe and wife Karla of Mexico, Ronnie Wolfe and wife Linda of Fort Wayne; brother-in-law: John Beachler of Mexico and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Court in death are his parents, wife and a sister Barb Beachler.

Pastor Jimmy Calhoun will officiate services. Interment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery of Mexico.
