Mark Alan Windham, of Oakwood, Texas, passed away on October 24, 2014 at the age of fifty-three years. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo. A public visitation will be held Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo. Mark Alan Windham was born on June 5, 1961 in New York, New York to Franklin Delano & Patricia (Burke) Windham. He worked as a network administrator for Shell Oil until his health began to fail him. Mark had lived in Oakwood for the past two years, coming from Woodville, Texas. Mark liked being outdoors and enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Houston Texans. He was also an avid reader of history books. Most of all, Mark loved his family with all of his heart. He was an excellent father and wanted to be around his children as much as possible. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Delano Windham. He is survived by his children, Rachel Ann Windham of Galveston and Jeremy Mark Windham of Oakwood; mother, Patricia Windham of Oakwood; brothers, William “Bill” Windham of Oakwood and Michael (Sheila) Windham of Oakwood and nieces & nephews, Amy (Zach) Melton, Lia Windham, Mikel Tobey, Elizabeth Windham, Rhiannon Windham, Connor Windham, Jeremy Critchlow, Wesley (Amber) Critchlow and Trey Critchlow. Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas is in charge of all arrangements.
