Dorothy M. Ringmeier, age 91, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Dorothy was born on July 23, 1923 in Manitowoc to the late Reinhardt and Elsie Baeckmann Lange. On October 18, 1941, Dorothy married Edward Ringmeier. Edward preceded her in death on July 1, 1976. Dorothy and her husband owned and operated a farm in rural Manitowoc for many years. She also was employed with Carron Net Company in Two Rivers, and was a waitress for The Supper Club, Fox Hills Resort, and later as a hostess at Four Season Family Restaurant.
Survivors include Dorothy's two children: Roger (Jeanne) Ringmeier, Manitowoc; and Karen (Jim) Kraemer, Newton; nine grandchildren: Andy (Patty) Ringmeier, Alan (Collette) Ringmeier, Angela (Phil) Sleger, Andrea (Shawn) Pickard, Arik (Sherry) Ringmeier, Aaron (April) Ringmeier, Alycia (Jonathon) Stockwell, Mark Kraemer and Michael Kraemer; eight great grandchildren; sister: Loretta Hecker; her special pet: Sugar; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A time of shared memories will take place at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
