Frederick A. Carlson IV, 25, of Bethlehem, passed away in Al Taqqadum, west of Bagdad in Iraq on Saturday, March 25, 2006. He was the fiance of Christina M. Ruiz. Born in Easton, he was the son of Anna Marie (Kirlick) Carlson and her companion, Jeff Talley, of Lower Nazareth Township and Frederick A. III and Diane (Saladino) Carlson of Long Swamp Township. He attended Liberty High School and had worked for M. Davis Contractors in Delaware for two years prior to deployment. Frederick was an Army Specialist. He was of the Catholic faith. Survivors: Fiance; father and stepmother; mother and her companion; maternal grandmother, Olive V. Kirlick of Nazareth; paternal grandfather, Frederick A. Jr. and stepgrandmother, Connie Carlson, of Castleberry, Fla.; son, Frederick A. Carlson V, at home; stepdaughter, Beyanka Ruiz at home; sister, Brianna M. Carlson of Lower Nazareth Township; stepbrothers, John Saladino of Wind Gap, Michael Saladino of Hudson, Fla., and Christopher Saladino of Long Swamp Township. Services: To be announced by the Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
