San Diego, California - Roland M. Brimigion, 88, died March 22, 2005 at Point Loma Convalescent Home in San Diego, California.
He was born May 9, 1916 in Bangor Maine, the son of Samuel and Laura (Frost) Brimigion. Roland attended Lewiston High School in Lewiston, Maine.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Roland worked as a mail carrier in Auburn/Lewiston for many years before moving to California with his wife in 1962. While in California, Roland worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles as a hearing officer.
Roland loved to golf and be near his daughter and grandsons.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Spire of San Diego, California, grandson Gregory of La Mesa, California and grandson Jay and his wife Theresa of Temecula, California, great grandsons, Jayson, Patrick and Troy; two brothers, Samuel Brimigion of Danville, California and Stephen Brimigion of New York City, one sister, Beryl Webb of Huntsville, Alabama, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, June (Enman) Brimigion on December 1, 1997, and three brothers, Laurel, Custer and William.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, at North Clairemont United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Hill officiating the service.
Summer interment will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park, Auburn, Maine.
