Betty Sue Torres, 62, of Albany died Saturday, October 18, 2014 in an Abilene hospital.

Betty was born September 12, 1952 in Stamford, Texas to Harvey J. and Susie Belle (Newcomb) Buckner.
She was a lifelong resident of Albany graduating from Albany High School and TSTC in Breckenridge.
Betty married Pete Torres in 1993 in Albany.
She worked for many years in the restaurant business, working at Dairy Queen and Los Casedores. Betty was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Albany.

Betty is survived by her husband Pete of Albany; two sons, Pete Torres Jr. and wife Kay Lynn of Colorado City and Gilbert Torres and wife Mary of Port Lavaca; one daughter, Linda Abila and husband Mario of Knox City; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Katy Lee Buckner.
