Passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 1975, at St. Luke's Hospital. Age 83 years. He was born July 5, 1891, in Newport, R. I. He married Inez Forbes in Detroit, May 24, 1913 to whom he was married for 62 years. She survives him. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Saginaw, a life member of the North Branch Lodge No. 312, F&AM, a past member of the Clio Rotary. He served as a minister with the United Methodist Churches for 42 years and served churches in Montrose, North Branch, Vassar, Clio, Saginaw, Grand Blanc and Flint. He retired in 1964. Surviving besides his wife are a son, Kenneth F. Hazard, Escanaba, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Ann Briggs, Saginaw; Mrs. T. J. (Carolyn) Swihart, Clio; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Benjamin & WIpple Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Richard Lobb will officiate with burial in White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. Friends may call at the funeral home. Those who so desire may make memorials to the Ames United Methodist Church.
