There is some confusion over the final resting place of Balthasar, his spouse Sophie, and his son, Lorenz. It is may be that he was first buried at the Saint Peter's RC Mansion Street cemetery, not far from son Lorenz's home. These graves were relocated to the Calvary Cemetery at 62 LaGrange Avenue, which was purchased by the Rev. Dr. George Schrader (pastor from 1878 to 1879), and administered by Nativity Church, home parish to the Ramstetters. The timing here is unfortunate, as Lorenz died in bankruptcy, having been crushed by the economic Panic of 1874. The graves may therefore have been unmarked. The cemetery has no record of Ramstetters on file, but neither are the Old Saint Joe's reburials recorded at Holy Sepulchre in Rochester, New York.
